Meet Joshua and Christian, the team behind Appalachia Games, a vendor built from a shared passion for trading card games, retro gaming, and the communities that bring these hobbies together.
Appalachia Games began in the Appalachian Mountains as the Appalachian Gaming League, where Joshua and Christian organized cEDH tournaments throughout the region. Their passion for competitive play eventually grew into a larger mission: helping players and collectors find the cards, games, and collectibles they love.
The team first partnered with Charlie’s Collectible Show as tournament organizers, helping run multiple cEDH events before expanding into vending. Today, Appalachia Games brings that same player-first mindset to the show floor with a focus on knowledge, fair pricing, and genuine connections with fellow hobby fans.
As lifelong gamers and collectors, Joshua and Christian understand the hobby from the inside. Their booth features a curated selection of Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Riftbound, retro video games, anime collectibles, and locally made cosplay items from North Carolina creators.
Collectors can discover everything from vintage Pokémon cards and unique foreign cards to competitive TCG staples, premium Magic cards, nostalgic games, and cosplay weapons, outfits, and accessories. With competitive buying and selling prices across their inventory, Appalachia Games creates a booth experience designed for players, collectors, and fans of all kinds.
Built by gamers for gamers, Appalachia Games brings together competition, nostalgia, and creativity in one place.
